The Kings of the NY Media Have No Clothes, de Blasio Unleashes New York Anger At the Rich

True News From Change NYC : Latest Poll: NYC Media Disconnected With the Public

From True News From Change NYC :

NY Media's Deviant Elite Subculture. The once powerful NY Newspapers has become a subculture that the public no longer believes. The editorial boards and newsrooms are in shock that their over the top endorsements of stringer and Quinn are being rejected by the voters of New York. A media revolution is going on in New York. And its Tea Party moment (we are talking about the Boston Tea Party of 1773) was de Blasio standing up to those trying to close two Brooklyn hospitals. Not one newspaper editorial has backed Bill in his efforts to keep the hospitals open. In fact the NYT in their endorsement of Quinn said that de Blasio efforts were hopeless. New Yorkers are tired of the Bull Shit words coming out of the newspaper and candidates. They know they are being priced out of the city and those that they elected don't care.

The de Blasio Revolution: New Yorkers Have Reject the Media. When de Blasio campaign went to court to keep the hospitals open the voters saw action not words. Every candidate this year has said they were going to say the middle class. That issue must be pollng high. There are other reasons that voters are turning to de Dlasio, his son TV ads, but the main factor is that New Yorkers are mad what has been done to their city. They think their pols have turned against them. Taking cash from developers whose luxury building are pushing them out of the city. By standing in front of Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn Heights with a court order to keep the hospital from closing and being given to developers they saw someone who would protect their interests.

Bigger Tax Increase for the Rich. Democratic mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio said he would seek a slightly larger tax increase on wealthy New Yorkers than he originally indicated, raising questions as to how he would win approval for his plan from state lawmakers, The New York Times reports.

Fake Quinn Web Site Pushes for Paid Sick Leave

Fake Quinn Web Site Pushes for Paid Sick Leave

From True News From Change NYC :

At 11:28 a.m., an email from "Christine C. Quinn" was sent from an email address linked to QuinnforNewYork.org. The email and that .org site are fakes. You can tell because both of them argue for passing the Paid Sick Leave bill, which the real-life Quinn is blocking from being voted on in the City Council, even though it has more than enough supporters to override a mayoral veto. @nytimes @carolynryan @nytopinion collude to help @ChrisCQuinn with June Primary (no surprise)

Who would have thought that the Editorial Board of The New York Times would enable the corruption of the Board of Elections in order to help their mayoral pick, Christine Quinn ? Really ??

City Council Redistricting As A Ploy For Mayoral Campaign Endorsements ?

Are Quinn and Bloomberg Engaged In An "Endorse-to-Play" Quid Pro Quo Over The City Council Redistricting ?

Council Redistricting Corruption Silence

From True News From Change NYC, written by Gary Tilzer :

Many of his fellow reformers felt that Citizens Union puppet general Dick Dadey sold out last year when he supported Albany's compromise to put off independent redistrict for 10 years. But nothing can compare to Dadey and the rest of the goo-goos, editorial boards', and reformers' silence on the corruption going on with the City Council redistricting operation. For starters, the appointed council redistricting commission is controlled by two people supporting Quinn for mayor in 2013 : the council speaker herself and her puppet master the mayor. Although the redistricting commission work has just begun, there are already reports that county bosses Crowley and Lopez, ethic and minority leaders are already dealing with Quinn operatives to cut districts favorable to them or those they support in exchange for their endorsement for Quinn's 2013 mayoral bid.

Quinn Board of Election Scandal

The New York City Council Is Responsible for the Corruption at the Board of Election (BOE), and the Council Can Reform the BOE If It Really Wanted To, reports Gary Tilzer.

From the 2002 Green Book Page 150 :

"The 10 commissioners of Board of Elections are appointed by the council upon recommendations of the two major political organization of the 5 boroughs. . . Vacancies are filed by the council for unexpired terms."

Quinn Does Not Have to Hold Hearing on BOE Corruption, All She Has to Do is Fire BOE Commissioners She Appointed

If Quinn does not have the power to fire as some say she can refuse to appoint anyone else to the Board until they reform. Quinn get three names to select one for each appointment. She can easily use the appointment power to select a director (now vacant) of the Board who will reform the mess. NYC Council to hold hearing on vote counting woes (WSJ) * "The Board of Elections' inability to accurately tally and report the results of last month's congressional primary in a timely manner threatens the credibility of the democratic process," City Council Speaker Christine Quinn said in a statement Thursday.

Quinn Who Appoints the BOE Commissioners Received No Blame From the Media About the Rangel Miscount

The NYP Does Not Even Understand She Has This Power Over the BOE

The Post worries the city’s Board of Elections will screw up next year’s mayoral races and urges Gov. Cuomo to overhaul the “incompetent” agency. The NYP should demand that Speaker Quinn fire the entire Board if they refuse to reform. Thanks for the warning (NYP) * "It’s even publicizing its incompetence in advance: In a letter to Gov. Cuomo and legislative leaders, board members recently claimed they might not be able to conduct a possible runoff election in the required timeframe after the 2013 primary." (NYP)

80 Shootings In One Week

Christine Quinn Gives Good Lip Service Regarding Gun Violence, says Gary Tilzer on True News From Change, but that's about it. We're basically on our own.

Quinn Speak : “Council members care, [Police Commissioner] Ray Kelly cares, I care and the people who live in the hardest-hit neighborhoods care. All of us are united in horror at the recent examples of gun violence and senseless killings.” (NYPost)

Where are the Security Cameras, Quinn ?

20% of the Rise In Shooting Have Come From Public Housing . . . Does Quinn Care About the People in Public Housing ? The city’s public housing authority has failed to install a single security camera even though it has $42 million to spend on the improvements thanks to the agency’s foot-dragging (NYDN) * Latest Brooklyn shooting prompts calls for action (WABC) * NYCHA has $42 million in funds for security cameras and other measures that the agency is sitting on while they figure out how to spend it, even as crime spikes. Slush Fund Scandal Boomerang

Slush Fund Scandal Festers And Haunts Christine Quinn

Tom Allon, a candidate for mayor and challenger to City Council Christine Quinn, published a scathing editorial about Speaker Quinn's slush fund scandal in the opinion pages of The New York Post. Read just some of what Mr. Allon wrote :

City Councilman Larry Seabrook can afford a sigh of relief after the mistrial blocked a corruption conviction. But taxpayers can take no solace, for the abusive waste of “member items” underlying the case was irrefutable.

Council Speaker Christine Quinn should be held accountable; it's high time Mayor Bloomberg and the voters held her feet to the fire for the mismanagement of taxpayer dollars during the last decade.

Mr. Allon added, "You see, the Seabrook scandal wasn’t an isolated action but part of a persistent pattern. The responsibility for deterring corruption in the City Council lies with Quinn, who has failed to hold her members accountable."

Mr. Allon's courageous op-ed was so troublesome for Speaker Quinn that news about the NYPost editorial immediate was reported about (and validated) in a slush fund update post on the City Room blog of The New York Times.

Separately, the True News From Change NYC blog also featured these news developments about Speaker Quinn's slush fund scandal. (You need to scroll down, to find the news items.)

CENSORED : True News From Change NYC Blog

Update : True News From Change NYC Blog Has Been Restored

Google Blogspot Blog Has Been Removed For No Reason ; Blogger Community Suspects Political Censorship ; Call To Action

True News From Change,Blogspot,Google,Censorship,Gary Tilzer

Please send an e-mail to press@google.com and copy Gary Tilzer, the owner of the censored blog, at Gtprinter@aol.com -- demanding that the True News blog be restored.

True News is a blog dedicated to reporting about government scandals, politics, and transparency. (Here is the cached version of the True News blog.)

This is not the first act of censorship against Mr. Tilzer. Before the 2010 election, a YouTube video that Mr. Tilzer produced was banned by NBC/YouTube and had to be replaced with an edited version. In the last couple of years, others have faced incidences of cyber censorship or retaliatory activity. One and a half months before the 2009 election, the YouTube channel owned by the artist and political commentator Suzannah B. Troy was likewise censored, until bloggers and a lawyer intervened on her behalf. In 2010, this blogger was attacked by computer viruses 3 or 4 times, including on the day this blogger reported to the New York Department of State Committee on Open Government an act of censorship committed by Brad Hoylman.

Flashback : Secretary of State Hillary Clinton hailed Internet freedom as tool to ‘spread truth and expose injustice’

We need your help to keep courageous bloggers, like Mr. Tilzer, doing what they do. If you are reading this, it is because you are turning to the Internet for reliable information. For it to be here, bloggers, like Mr. Tilzer, have to be able to do their work without fear of retribution or censorship.
