Michael D. D. White is an attorney, urban planner and former government public finance, and development official, has submitted testimony to City Planner Amanda Burden that was critical of Rudin Management Company's "fairly nefarious deal" that foreclosed on St. Vincent's in order to convert it to luxury condos.

Community opinion has uniformly opposed the closing of St. Vincent's Hospital and the subsequent luxury condo conversion up-zoning that would benefit Rudin Management Company.

Meanwhile, as more and more community members and activists become educated on the dire healthcare implications of hospital closings across New York City, new activists are coming together to demand accountability for irresponsible public health decisions.

MYFOXNY.COM - Occupy Wall Street protesters showed up at St. Vincent’s Hospital to take on the health care system.

The protesters say St. Vincent’s Hospital, which was shut down last spring, is the symbol of what’s wrong with the system.

OWS says what used to be a functioning hospital is now being turned into luxury condominiums.
